Lawn Care Services

Fertilizer Program
Our 6-step lawn care program is designed to improve the appearance of your grass while keeping it strong and healthy. We are one of the few lawn care companies in the area that use organic-based products for all of our applications.

  • Early Spring: Pre-emergent is applied to stop dandelions and clover seeds from germinating.
  • Late Spring: Another round of pre-emergent is applied to make sure no stray seeds germinate.
  • Early Summer: Broad-spectrum surface insect control is applied to target grubs, chinch bugs, and ants.
  • Late Summer: General fertilizer is used aimed at darkening grass and making it more lush.
  • Early Fall: Similar to late summer, early fall works on darkening grass and preparing it for colder weather.
  • Late Fall: Winterizer is utilized to focus on strengthening roots.

For each step, we also target stray weeds we find with post-emergent spray.

Weed Program

There are some weeds that we cannot completely remove with our 6-step program, but we do offer separate programs for them.

Nutsedge: Nutsedge is a tough weed to control because its roots can grow 8-14 inches deep. On the roots are tiny tubers that can remain in the ground after you try and pull it, making it difficult to eliminate it from your yard.

Kyllinga: Kyllinga is a low growing weed that mimics the appearance of nutsedge. But unlike nutsedge, this weed grows as a mat that covers your grass and kills it. It can spread easily over your yard in late spring and early summer. It reproduces through seeds or, like nutsedge, can reproduce through its root system. Any part left behind can regrow and spread, making kyllinga one of New Jersey’s most notorious weed.

Aeration and Overseeding

If you get full use out of your lawn, then it’s only a matter of time before it needs to be aerated. Foot traffic, mowing, and parking on your grass can cause your soil to become compact. Compact soil chokes your grass by not allowing the roots to get air, water, or fertilizer. Aeration solves this, and many other lawn problems, by removing small plugs of your lawn.

Overseeding is often done after aeration because your yard is prepped for taking new seeds. We recommended overseeding with other grass types to improve your turf’s resistance to drought, diseases, and pests.

Landscape Bed Maintenance

Edging
Do your paths and walkways look overgrown? We can edge sidewalks, patios, driveways, and curbs.

Small Tree Trimming and Removal
Your trees and shrubs are your most important landscape investment. We can help them look their best by offering small tree pruning, shaping, and removal.

Flea and Tick
Fleas and ticks can be found in nearly any part of your yard. They can be carried into your home by pets where they can become a very big problem. Once they’re inside, they can deposit their eggs in your carpets or furniture, making it a challenge to get rid of them. Not to mention, they can also carry tapeworms and Lyme disease.

Perimeter Ant Treatment
Keep ants out of your yard, and most importantly, out of your home. With our perimeter ant treatment, we can keep all species of ants away from your home.
